Travis Black, with over 16 years of experience in recruiting, training, and talent management, is a seasoned career management resource for Right Management’s clients. As a former HR executive and consultant across various industries, he designs and implements career development and outplacement solutions that enhance engagement, retention, and productivity. Previously, Travis led talent acquisition for Crowley Maritime, developed talent strategies for Regency Centers, and held key roles in recruitment with HNTB Corporation, PSS World Medical, and Aerotek. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Business Administration, along with PHR and SHRM–SCP certifications. In the Jacksonville community, Travis is active with organizations such as Habitat for Humanity and the ALS Association.

Travis Black draws on more than 16 years of experience in recruiting, training and talent management as a highly effective career management resource for Right Management’s clients and candidates.  A veteran corporate HR executive and consultant across a wide range of industries, he provides career development solutions that drive engagement, retention and productivity.  Guiding organizations in realigning their workforce to meet changing talent needs, he provides outplacement services design and implementation.  As a coach, trainer and facilitator, he works one-on-one with career transition candidates to bring clarity about their strengths and prepare them for the next stage in their careers.  Keenly attuned to the need for organizations to attract, reskill and upskill agile talent, he empowers and re-energizes individuals to take responsibility for the continuous learning and development that will shape their future opportunities.

Business/Organizational Leadership Experience

Prior to joining Right Management, Travis was Manager, Talent Acquisition for Crowley Maritime, a 5,000-employee marine solutions, logistics and transportation company.  In that role, he developed, implemented and drove talent acquisition strategies focused on supporting strategic business initiatives.  Previously he was Senior HR business partner with national real estate firm Regency Centers, providing leaders with strategic consulting in areas including recruiting, talent development, organizational design and HR practices. Earlier in his career, he served as a recruiting manager with Architecture & Engineering firm HNTB Corporation and as a corporate recruiter with PSS World Medical, a Fortune 1000 medical products and services company later purchased by the McKesson Corporation.  As a regional account manager, corporate trainer and senior recruiter with global recruiting firm Aerotek, he was responsible for training and HR consultation for the company’s operations in Florida, Georgia and the Carolinas, where he also developed the firm’s aviation sales territory.

Education and Training

Travis earned a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Business Administration from the University of North Florida. He holds the Professional in Human Resources (PHR) and is a Society for Human Resource Management–Senior Certified Professional (SHRM – SCP).  Active in the Jacksonville community, he is a former member of the Board of Habitat for Humanity of Jacksonville, coaches youth sports and is a supporter of the ALS Association the Epilepsy Foundation and the Hydrocephalus Foundation.
